Edibles Made Easy Online Cooking Course
This online video course will help you become a wise plant-based medicine maker, guiding you through the exact eight-step process for learning how to extract, infuse, and prepare cannabis recipes at home.
💡 Imagine: it’s three months before you enroll in Edibles Made Easy…
Picture yourself. You’re in your kitchen with a weed chocolate chip cookie recipe that you pulled up online.
Sure, you’ve smoked cannabis for a long time, but this is all new. Your friend told you about her husband’s amazing results when he made the switch. He doesn’t cough, she doesn’t have to nag him about his bad habits, and now they’re both happier than ever.
So, you decide to be brave and give it a try. After all, how hard could it be? People have been making pot butter for decades.
You’ve got all of the ingredients laid out on the counter, and you can’t wait to get started. You start daydreaming about that warm, sleepy, relaxed feeling you’re about to experience and wonder if it’s OK to lick the spoon…
Oven preheated to 350°F degrees – ✔️
Crockpot plugged in and set to medium temperature – ✔️
Mason jars are out, set up, and ready to go – ✔️
Excitedly, you begin reading through the instructions 👨🏻🍳
… First, it says you need to select THC, CBD, or CBG-dominant flower, shake, trim, or kief.
You don’t know what half these words mean, so you just use what you’ve got.
… Then it says you must choose your desired amount to use, ranging from 3.5 grams to 1 ounce.
But you don’t have a scale, let alone measure that way, so you just throw in a handful and cross your fingers, and it’s enough.
… Next, it says you need to “decarb” by putting it in the oven and baking it at the correct temperature for the right amount of time.
But that doesn’t seem quite right, so you get overwhelmed and just skip that part altogether.
… Then it says to make sure you follow the flower-to-oil- ratio guide to know how much butter to use.
But by now, you’re too impatient, so you just throw in a stick of butter and hope for the best.
“Wow, this recipe has great reviews… but this just feels like reading a foreign language,” you say to yourself, feeling confused and discouraged.. 🤔 “I really hope I didn’t just mess this all up.”
Despite not fully understanding the directions, you roll up your sleeves and give it a shot anyway, carefully attempting to work your way through each step.
After adding a pinch of this, a sprinkling of that, and mixing it all together – you’re finally ready to place your cookies in the oven.
BING! The timer goes off, and your cookies are ready to eat!
“Yum, this is going to be amazing!” you say as you dig in.
However, a few hours after eating them, you feel NO effects.
😞 Zero
😞 Zilch
😞 Nada
“What did I do wrong? It can’t be this hard. Maybe edibles just don’t work for me. I’d be better off smoking,” you think to yourself.
AT THIS POINT:
You’ve lost so much time and wasted your most precious ingredients 😰
Can you relate?
That’s the typical journey for the thousands of people, just like you, that I have worked with who try to DIY their cannabis edibles with hope and prayer.
And in the end, the amount of time and precious product lost by doing it wrong can cost hundreds of dollars, if not more.
Deep down, you’re disappointed in yourself for “failing” and don’t want to tell your friends you even gave it a try.
💸 💸 💸
But I need to tell you, it’s not your fault!
Some food for thought.. 🧁
Would you bake a cake without a recipe?
No, of course not.
You have to follow the step-by-step instructions of someone who has done it successfully before.
The same truth applies to edibles, in fact, even more so.
Now, for the moment of truth…
👉 THC-infused edibles can be MORE potent than smoking or any other application method associated with cannabis – giving you unwanted side effects 👈 On top of that, the internet is filled with scary urban legends about people going to the ER because they’ve taken too many edibles.
So, what’s a cannabis lover to do?

What You Will Learn
Things to Know Before Getting Started
Let’s set you up for success! Learn more about the frequently used terms and abbreviations, the endocannabinoid system, how different cannabinoids do different things, why edibles can be more potent, and why edibles have delayed onset and duration times, and a quick review of beginner’s dosing recommendations.
By the end of this module, you’ll know how to tailor your edibles to your unique endocannabinoid system.
Meet The Cannabis Plant
The lesson will introduce you to the female cannabis plant to learn more about the different products available and where they come from. You’ll also be introduced to two important terms – trichomes and chlorophyll. I will teach you about each one and why you do or do not want them in your edibles.
By the end of this module, you’ll know how to use different products to make different types of edibles.
Understanding Decarboxylation
This lesson will introduce you to the critical process of decarboxylation and help you understand why this step is so crucial for making potent edibles. After a thorough explanation of the science behind the process and how it can vary from cannabinoid to cannabinoid, I’ll conclude with a step-by-step video to show you how to decarboxylate at home with an oven or instant pot.
By the end of this module, you’ll learn the essential step that most people miss: how to safely and effectively decarboxylate your flower so you can get a pleasing effect from your edibles.
How to Make Butter & Oil Infusions
This lesson will introduce you to the world of fat infusions! Starting with essential details you need to know before you begin infusing, we’ll talk about the product lecithin and whether or not you need to add it during this process. It also includes a step-by-step tutorial for infusing butter or oil in a crockpot or instant pot.
By the end of this module, you’ll know what to do with your butter or oil infusion once it has been made to create delicious edibles easily.
How to Make Alcohol-Based Tinctures
This lesson will introduce you to the world of alcohol-based extractions, which can be the base for many more recipes to come, including full-extract cannabis oil and cannabis salt and sugar! After a complete overview, you’ll get two tutorials on making the Green dragon and Golden dragon tinctures.
By the end of this module, you’ll learn all of the different ways you can use your alcohol-based tinctures in recipes, from cocktails to FECO and more.
How to Make Topicals For Skin-Care
While not a true edible per-say, this lesson will introduce you to the world of making topical preparations for skincare! In this lesson, you’ll learn more about how topicals can benefit the skin and how you can use your infusion and extraction knowledge to make topical recipes.
By the end of this module, you’ll understand how to create creams, salves, lotions, and more.
Understanding Dosing and Potency
Understanding dosing and potency is one of the hardest concepts when making homemade edibles. This lesson will help simplify the process and teach you exactly how to calculate the dose of your homemade edibles and how to use the edible dosage calculator. It will also help you navigate dosing if you don’t know the potency of the product you’re starting with. Lastly, I’ll walk you through what to do if you accidentally get too high.
By the end of this module, you’ll be cooking like a pro while avoiding the most common pitfalls of edibles: miscalculating your dosage and getting too high.
Bonus Content
This bonus lesson will cover three important topics. First, we’ll cover ways to manipulate your edibles if they’re not working for you. Then, we will review what different decarboxylation and infusion machines are available on the market today, how to use them, and whether or not they are right for you. Lastly, we’ll conclude with tips and tricks on managing the munchies.
By the end of this bonus module, you’ll be able to make healthy edibles that fit into a healthy lifestyle and know if you need to invest in an infusion machine.

What Past Students Say…
Eric –
This is a great course for anyone interested in creating their own edibles. Emily does an outstanding job of presenting the subjects in an easy to understand manner. This is a very complete course, which I highly recommend to anyone. My state just legalized recreational marijuana July 1, 2023. On July 1, 2023, I purchased my first edibles (I have a lot of arthritis pain) and they were great. Then I thought, these should be pretty easy to make. I googled a few recipes and made a batch. Not the best, but still better than store bought. Now with this course, I am able to expand past gummies to other types of edibles. Thanks Emily for a great course. Also love the community forum!!
John –
The course was very insightful it was really well done to where it was easy to follow easy to understand. The layout was well done the videos are easy to understand and thank you for the captions because me being hard of hearing if I don’t have my hearing aids in I couldn’t hear it and I don’t like wearing my hearing aids I feel like I’m getting old. Other than the few typos that I caught and pointed out to you it is really well done and on point for the information that you were looking to get out there which you are always good at that information anyways you’ve dedicated so many years to it I’m sure and that’s why you’re so good at it and are able to get the videos down as short as you were without losing vital information.
Emily Kyle, MS, RDN –
Thank you so much for your kind words, John, and for taking the time to share your experience with the Edibles Made Easy Course 🌿 It makes me so happy to hear that you found the course insightful, easy to follow, and accommodating to your needs, especially with the inclusion of captions. Bruce W. –
I am an absolute, card carrying complete beginner in this field. Cooking never has been my strong suit, mother sent me to college with a recipe to boil a hotdog so when it came to cooking with cannabis I would trip over what appeared to be an easy recipe on the internet, become completely intimidated by the foreign language that most seasoned users seem to have and suddenly have absolutely no idea how to start. This class is incredible!! For the first time I have direction that I can trust and not something based on guesswork.
This course is step by step from beginning to storage after it is done.
Then there is the free membership to her community of customers with hundreds of recipes now available to me. This is like a private club where no question is too trivial or dumb.
This could easily rank among the top 10 purchases for me in the past several years as I fight to quiet my chronic pain gremlin depriving me of my quality of life.
Well Done Emily, Brava!
I very Highly Recommend the Edibles Made Easy Course

Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for the recommendation, Betty! I am so glad you’ve enjoyed the course so far 😁
Judith –
If you’re new (or even not so new) to ingesting/making your own edibles, this is a fabulous starting point. The course is laid out in a logical and incremental fashion. I appreciate the shorter lessons as it makes it easier to watch in small bites rather than investing large chunks of time all at once.
I really liked learning about the different cannabinoids and how our bodies may process them and what happens when we consume too much thc and why it happens. Emily shared lots of tips along the way and lots of extra reading material, recipes, bonus materials, etc.
If you’ve never decarbed or made butter or tincture, she walks you through that step-by-step, including a couple different options.
We grew our own cannabis last year for the first time and besides smoking had made only tincture using Everclear. After watching Emily’s videos, I made some infused oil and brownies, and eager to delve into topicals soon, which is something I’d not even thought of before.
I don’t think you’ll regret purchasing this course!
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for your kind words, Judith! I am so happy you enjoyed the course, and am so happy you’re already baking in the kitchen! Happy cooking!
Staci –
I had just a little bit of experience in making edibles when starting this course. It is something that I will continue to reference frequently!! Why? It is packed with information from all of the how to’s but also the why’s and suggested alternatives! The content is a balanced between the science and hands on fun resulting in quality products that are fun and effective. The format is very user friendly and broken down into easy to digest sections. Go at your own pace and refer back anytime you want to! Thanks for this gem Emily!!! I highly recommend it!!!
Emily Kyle –
I am so glad you enjoyed the course, Staci! Thank you for your feedback, I hope you go back as often as you need to enjoy the content 🙂
Nichelle –
Thank you for the educational experience. I’m very new to the cannabis world and I really want as much information as I can get, broken down as simply as possible, and you gave me quite a bit of info that was clear and concise. I love how I could go back to revisit the classes as much as I needed to absorb the info. I will take your other classes as soon as I can because I found them easy to maneuver, you’re a good instructor and it was aesthetically pleasing. Thank you again. Nichelle
Emily Kyle –
I am so glad you enjoyed the course and learned so much, Nichelle!
Kate –
Lots of good information, especially for a beginner. Very basic and good introduction to cannabis and edibles. Absolutely love the recipes and articles for resource. Thank you!
Emily Kyle –
Thank you for taking the course with us, Kate!
Collin –
Having everything broken down into manageable chunks made this so user friendly. I found several things that I was doing that were contributing to my edibles not achieving their full potential. Emily’s commitment to making this process understandable takes a lot of the anxiety about possibly wasting valuable bud. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in simplifying the whole edible making process.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for your kind words, Collin! I am so happy to hear this course was able to help you refine the process! Happy baking 🤗
Tory –
As an educator in higher ed for a decade, I cannot say enough praise for how this course is laid out. You build on things in such a beautiful way, that makes perfect flow sense. I love all of the clarifying distinctions you make and ultimately, I love how you simplify all of the processes. I smiled when you said at the end that ultimately do what works best for YOU. You are empowering others to self medicate in a culture that doesn’t provide much education for the patient. Raise your price, for realz, Emily!
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for your kind words, Tory! I am so happy that you’ve enjoyed the course so much 😊
Bob –
This course was well constructed and informative. It is sectioned into mostly 5 to 7 minutes sessions, with a couple that are a bit longer. They are a nice mix of science and practical topics, and do a good job of de-mystifying the creation and use of cannabis edibles.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you for the kind words, Bob, I am so glad I could help demystify the process. Happy edible making 😊
Danyell –
I really enjoyed this course and the format it was presented in. For me, I learn and retain much more through an online class due to the fact you can do the course and review back easily. I found it relaxing to be able to complete the course at my leisure and when I had the time. I liked the fact you were very clear and concise as well that more internet research may be necessary for some variations. To be honest, there is nothing that I disliked about the course. I learned so much and there really wasn’t anything that wasn’t explained well. I will be taking another online course from you in the future! – PS. I giggled at the Alexa chiming in.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for your review, I am so glad you enjoyed the course, Danyell! And LOL – Alexa 🤣 I’m glad we could make you giggle while learning!
Katherine –
I just completed the Edibles made easy course and would highly recommend this to others especially if you are new to this. Everything from decarboxylation to dosing is covered. Emily even explains the Endocannabinoid system , delayed response, etc and also includes tips or warning/cautions so you are aware. Emily speaks clearly and explains everything. Should you have questions there is a community accessible through the website and link to conversation in each lesson.
There are even printable instructions and a dosing calculator you can use. Every lesson has closed caption option- which I appreciate very much as I am hard of hearing.
I also recommend Emily book Cannabis drinks made easy.
Thank you Emily for all you do to help us!
Emily Kyle –
I am so happy you enjoyed the course, Katherine! And so happy you like the Cannabis Drinks Made Simple book too – they’re a perfect match. Happy edible making 😁
Darryl –
This is an excellent course for anyone looking to learn more about cannabis and how to use it to make edibles and salves. I have been in Emile’s group for a little while but still learned new things. Thanks Emily for all you do.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for taking the course, Darryl! I am so glad you’ve enjoyed it! Looking forward to staying connected in the community 😁
Gylene –
I just finished the course and learned many things that I didn’t thoroughly understand before I took the course. I have been making edibles for a short time and want to become more proficient in the process. One tip that I have used since finishing the course was how to decarb cannabis in the oven to control the smell in the house. Yesterday I decarbed cannabis in a glass canning jar. It was so easy! I am also in the process of making Golden Dragon tincture that I learned from the course. Most of my questions were answered and any thing that wasn’t covered in the course, I can easily find on the Cannabis Community.
I am happy with the knowledge that I learned and am interested in learning more! Thank you, Emily, for your knowledge and willingness to share with us!
Emily Kyle –
I am so glad you were able to learn some new things from the course, Gylene! And I am so happy to hear about your successful decarb process 😊 Thank you for your kind words and I look forward to staying connected with you in the community.
DeVon –
The information!!! That is all I am going to say. Now this course is about making edibles, but you learn so much more. The overall layout of the course and the way Emily breaks things down, and the information is what makes this course so special. Definitely worth the money. I have an Ardent FX and I cannot wait to start making edibles in it using what I learned from this course. I want to thank Emily; not only just for this class, but the community in general. Everyone is so friendly, willing to help, and share their thoughts and experiences.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for sharing your review with us, DeVon! I am so excited for you to start your edibles journey, and I look forward to staying connected in the community 😊
Robert –
Emily Kyle is one of the people that I listen to the most when it comes to cannabis. She’s very informative and very enlightening when it comes down to the fine details of how to do things that you may not have full knowledge of how to do. I find all her classes very helpful and this one was no exception. I’ve been making edibles but I’ve still learned some new things from her class which is what I was hoping was to gain some more insight to make my edibles better and that’s what I gained. Thank you Emily
Emily Kyle –
Wow – thank you so much for your kind words, Robert! I am so glad you’ve enjoyed this course, it’s an honor to be able to teach you something new 😁
Ira –
Overall, I thought that the class was very informative for a beginner. I knew most of the information except that you need to decarb CBD twice and that you need to remove the solid pieces of butter. I also learned about FECO.
Emily Kyle –
Thank you so much for your feedback, Ira! We are so glad you learned something new and agree that this course is perfect for beginners 😁
Jody –
This class is packed with so much information! I actually feel ready and confident to start creating. Thank you Emily for sharing your knowledge!
Emily Kyle –
I am so glad you’re feeling confident to start in the kitchen! Thank you, Jody 😁
